American Indian customs include laws that were designed to protect them from man and beast. However, some survive to modern times and others have been discarded. The history of these laws is taught at the Marksville State Historic Site. This museum is devoted to the lives of the Native Americans who first called this area home. They lived according to a set of customs handed down from generation to generation.
