American League Wild Card Race (with one game remaining): Indians 5, Twins 1: Cleveland moved into sole possession of the AL Wild Card with their 14th win in their past 16 games. Scott Kazmir turned in an impressive start, allowing two runs on six hits while striking out 11. Carlos Santana connected on his 20th home run of the season, while Michael Bourn went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI. Blue Jays 7, Rays 2: Toronto chased Tampa Bay starter Chris Archer after 2 1/3 innings, then tagged Alex Torres and Jamey Wright for five runs over the next two innings. Ben Zobrist, James Loney and Wil Myers all hit doubles, but the Rays went 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position. The Rays need to win on Sunday to guarantee at least a one-game tiebreaker for the second Wild Card spot. Rangers 7, Angels 4: Texas took advantage of five Los Angeles errors to tie Tampa Bay for the second AL Wild Card spot. The Rangers scored three unearned runs, and Joe Nathan recorded his 43rd save in 46 chances. Texas also needs to win on Sunday to guarantee themselves at least one more game.
