American Proverb As a young Christian the first country that the Lord told me to go to was Spain. I studied and prepared then left for this historic country. What I found was beauty in architecture, flavor in food, and history in every corner. What I did not find was a quality life. People did not seem to have a zeal for the future or expectation of better things to come. It seemed like people were just going through the motions without a purpose for life. There was a deadness in them that I saw as I ran with the bulls in Pamplona. What was missing? They had religion but not a life from God. Jesus said, “Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.” John 14:19 Maybe they saw God in history, maybe they saw God in Christ on the Cross, but they did not see or know of God in themselves because Jesus is alive. The Life of Jesus is now our life to be lived on earth. His quality of life inspires me.
