American Sniper is a movie that is brutally US propaganda disguised as being patriotic. It Is based on a novel by Chris Kyle who recounts his exploits in the Iraq War where he was hailed at a legend for having the highest number of killings on his tour of duty. In the book, Kyle is, from all indications, a trigger happy American soldier who sees every non-American as nothing more scumbags and usless pieces of shit. In the movie, Kyle is a family man who must get the job done of finishing off of the elusive terrorist leader - the enemy: Every American soldier is the hero. Every one else - men, women, children - must be killed no matter what! And this succeeds only to make it a heartless expose heightened by the unceasing, thunderous gunshot fire that pervade the film throughout. War is dirty, nasty business is the message. It does, gives insight of the toll of war on American family life and personal relationships. Take the movie at face value that its about war and there will be winners and losers.
