American Village is mourning the loss of a very special man who came into our lives 11 years ago. Gary Lee ESPN broadcaster passed away on Monday in his home. Every year American Village celebrates the Indy 500 with our very own Village 500. It all started with a little parade and push car race and has grown into a very large event. Gary has been the commentator for our parade and race every year. He loved coming to American Village and doing this every year. He always told me how much he loved spending time with the residents. He came several times and just sat and talked with the residents about the history of the Indy 500. We cannot imagine the event without him. He was more than just an entertainer for our event he truly was our friend. RIP Gary you will be missed and never forgotten.
