American wars serve a purpose, just not the purpose that most people think. On the ground, war seldom spreads liberty and justice, nor does it promote democracy or self government. Some wars are about national boundaries. Some wars serve to massacre people of different religious beliefs, but even in those cases there is usually an economic factor. Most war is about markets, about control of natural resources, and about whether or not the movers and shakers of one nation approve of another nations economic/policital choices. Thats it. Its not about human injustices. Most wars are about rich guys and their sense of entitlement to someone elses wealth. Some things never change. You may or may not believe in the bible, but the author of the book of James got it right in Chapter 4: James 4 King James Version (KJV) 1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? 2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. 3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
