Americans are paying ($22.7 million in 2014) for the abuse and torture of farm animals so that BIG agriculture can make bigger profits. If Congress wants to eliminate corporate welfare and erroneous government programs that benefit a minority of Americans; they should start with the taxpayer-financed federal institution called the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center, a complex of laboratories and pastures that sprawls over 55 square miles in Clay Center, Neb.
