Americans are right to be concerned about the impact illegal immigration has on their jobs and wages. We should be concerned about creating an environment that is favorable to job creation and competition so Americans looking for good paying jobs can find them. We should not be rewarding those who came to our country illegally at the expense of the American worker. I want to thank Chairman McCaul for organizing this tour and leading the border security efforts in the House. Border security has to be the first concrete step our nation takes when it comes to immigration reform. Whether it is illegal immigrants, drug cartels or terrorists we’re trying to stop, I don’t see how anyone can be against securing our borders. I look forward to taking action in Congress to secure our nation’s border.
