Among many things that make a book a great experience are the one-liners and conversations. I would like to share some of my favorite lines from few books. To start, here is a sentence about writers, by a writer. 1. A conversation of 2 young boys in Banaras City at a road side tea shop, about The Writer. A- “Who is he ?“ B- “He is a writer, @#$% ke (cuss words)” A- “What does he do?” B- “Nothing much, whatever we talk, he just writes it...” Kashi ka Assi- Kashinath Singh 2. “I swear to god, God is a Pathetic Script Writer” Kasap- Manohar Shyam Joshi (He is a great author and script writer of Television serials like, Hamlog, Buniyaad, Kakkaji Kahin, Mungeri Lal ke Haseen Sapne and many others....) 3. Shekhar to mother- “ Maa- From where did Chandra (younger brother) came? Maa- “The maid brought him to us” Shekhar to Maid – “Why did u bring such small brother? Should have brought somewhat bigger” Maid- “I didn’t bring him, the doctor brought him in his bag” Shekhar realised both were telling lies. After few days. Shekhar to Mother – “Do doctors also go to the birds?” Mother- “No, why do u ask?“ Shekhar- “Then where do birds get their children from?” Mother- “From Eggs” Shekhar felt now she was telling some truth. He asked with a bit of hope. Shekhar- “And where do eggs come from ?” Mother- “GOD sends them” Again the same obstruction. In the path of knowledge the biggest obstruction is GOD... Shekhar–A Life --- Agyeya If you have also stumbled upon such gem of one liners and conversations in books, do share here...
