(There are six currently; normally seven sit on the Board.) Three commissioners are needed now, and one Executive Director to fill Mike Tobins vacancy. A public vetting procedure is being developed for candidates, and our input is needed. Please contact Ald. Coggs with your ideas and concerns. By the way, all public comment and vetting would take place prior to confirmation by the Common Council. The motion to confirm the candidate goes before the Public Safety Committee first, then before the full Common Council. No public testimony will be heard at these steps.
