Among the many outstanding performances by WSU mens hoops players last night was one which seems to have been overlooked by many. Embracing his status as a role player, Junior Longrus has been effective coming off the bench for Coach Kent. Against Oregon, Longrus only saw 10-minutes of playing time yet made the most of his minutes...which were not subjugated to mop-up time. He hustled to haul in 5 boards, shot 2-3 FG and dished out an assist. If my math is correct, that extrapolates to a double-double should he be able to maintain that pace over the course of playing full time in a game. Im not suggesting his talent should have him starting, just admiring a solid effort by the junior from Oakland, CA. GO COUGS!!!
