Among the many tales and stories of risk, sacrifice and generosity - TopicsExpress

Among the many tales and stories of risk, sacrifice and generosity all around the state, there has emerged a very sad and gloomy dark side. There have been reports that a few individuals and businesses refused admission to several dogs, cats and a few other domestic animals stranded in the winter storm last Tuesday. Some of these poor helpless pets had to walk for blocks before finding shelter and it’s reported that a few even had to sleep outside with nothing more than flimsy pet sweaters. One Lab/Collie mix, supposedly had to curl up under a stranded motorist to keep from freezing to death. Several network news outlets have interrupted their coverage of the nuclear threat from Iran and North Korea to cover this atrocity exemplifying how inhumane certain men from our state can be. Chairperson and spokesperson from the, “Animals First” pet rescue center, Myrtle Broomkrankor, told reporters that a massive protest and boycott is in the works to run these sick individuals out of business and out of town. Women from all over the country, as far away as Seattle are urged to come and participate. Those who still have husbands are being ask to bring them to act as a support group, carrying similar signs but mostly to carry back packs equipped with chocolate snacks and diet drinks. Ms. Broomkrankor said that a petition is being sent to Governor Bentley insisting on new state laws inflicting mandatory castration and/or death penalty for this type of cruelty.
