Among the many wonderful films directed by the late Mike Nichols - TopicsExpress

Among the many wonderful films directed by the late Mike Nichols is the underrated and oft-neglected 1970 movie Catch-22, which (like Robert Altmans M*A*S*H, released the same year) reflected the antiwar anger of the Vietnam era through the prism of an earlier war (in the case of Catch-22, WWII). Heres a clip from the film, starring Second City veteran Alan Arkin (like Nichols, a protege of the great Paul Sills). Chicago-bred Bob Balaban also appears in this clip along with Jack Gilford. https://youtube/watch?v=5yeGMaT3PvI
