Amplified Bible Acts 21:14 And when he would not yield to [our] persuading, we stopped [urging and imploring him], saying, The Lord’s will be done! Many times we make up our minds to do Gods will. Were convinced God has spoken expressly to us and what we received does not contradict any portion of His word.(God will not ask us to stop schooling midway to go and preach or to divorce our spouse) Yet we are confused by friends and advisers! It was Gods will for Paul to visit Rome. The first stage was to get arrested at Jerusalem. But brethren were busy persuading him to run. If he had yielded to their persuasion, perhaps the letters of Paul would not have been in the Bible today! Lord, help me to stand against evil persuaders.
