Amritapuri,Kerala....The state like always...was OMG but the ashram for firsts was a different experience alltogether m/ Firstly, the accomodation, well, that was hard cheese :D spending the entire night with 22 people in a single 300sqft room does sound pretty daunting! O.O Serving food for 1.2 lakh,Trying to converse in french with the French with the occasional facepalms,lemon sodas for lunch,sugarcane juice for dinner,bunking seva :P :D (y) The 3.7km walk along the kollam coast (with Aravind Subramanian Ashok Selvam Neeraj Raghuraman Akhil Ravichandran and vignesh ) with the arabian sea on our right and the backwaters on the left with a small road traversing to nowhere, hoping to find the undiscovered ;-) And finally the return journey back here to Chennai ditching the rest of the 500 odd students back at the ashram with Arun Raja m/. Parting ways with friends at the kollam station, i was left alone with a flight ticket,600 bucks in my wallet,a watch that stopped working, a basic phone with no charge and 1hour15mins in time b4 my flight departed ...plus no taxis. With 80 odd kms to trivandrum....i had no choice but to catch an auto for 500R. I tried my best to explain my situation to the auto driver with my screwed up malayalam and all i got was a nodd. We were moving at 30kmph and i was busy calculating the possiblities of me catching the flight with time closing in(YEAH, Math was finally Useful! :D) meanwhile my mom and dad had no clue where i was or what i was upto. By the time i reached the airport the gates had closed and i was late, the security told me i had to turn back, just when a woman came in running and calling my name......Gawd...Returning back home never felt better ;-) P.S. the dancer/actress Shobana was on the same flight...plus it was a connecting flight to Bangalore ;-) (y)
