Amtrack and NJ Transit apologize for any inconvenience. How about instead of apologizing, they actually exhibit even a shred of competence? Conditions right now at Penn Station are UNSAFE! Why is no one directing people? Why does no one know how long the delays will be? Why do they decide to board and unload trains at the same time on opposite tracks? It is hot, people are at serious risk of falling down or up stairs, you have older folks and disabled folks being swept up in the crowd, everyone is now smooshed together on the train....it isnt an inconvenience. It is just plain dangerous.
