Amy L. Capehart Chesapeake - Amy L. Capehart, 36, of Chesapeake, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Amy was a 1995 graduate of Oscar F. Smith High School and a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. Amy will be remembered as a devoted mother, daughter and sister who enjoyed helping others. She loved to write poetry, astrology and interacting with her children and family. Survivors include her children, Brandon and Dalen; her mother, Mary Beth Luxford; siblings, Mary Angie Wise, Andrew L. Brinn and wife Jennifer, Raymond K. Bousman, IV, Richard E. Bousman, Julia Vertreese and husband Mark; nephews, Jaxson Wise, Masen Brinn and Nolan Vertreese. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Mary Irene Strode Luxford and James F. Luxford; her maternal great-grandmother, Maude Angie Strode. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 26, at the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. A military burial at sea will occur at a later date. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
