Amy Laurel gave me an 8, so here we go--again! 1. The only time I have ever been in an ambulance, when I was 8 years old I fell on a broken rake, and the handle stuck in my leg. My brother tried to remove it, but it was rotten so it broke off. They called an ambulance and took me to the hospital, where they numbed my leg, then let me watch while they cut into my leg, removed all the splinters, and sewed me up. It was cool to watch then, but I wouldnt have the stomach for it now! 2. My mom was the disciplinarian in our house, but one time when we lived in Ohio my dad whipped me for sassing my mom--I was 15 years old, but that didnt matter in our house, if you lived there, you were never too old to whip! I was always a daddys girl, and this devastated me, so I ran away from home and took a bus to my sisters house in Tennessee. 3. I once wore a dress to a formal dance that I borrowed from a drag queen. 4. My first job was at age 14, and I worked writing down bids at an auction house. 5. My second job was at 15, and I lied about my age so I could work full time at a department store. I got a job in the gift wrap department. where I enjoyed every minute of it! 6. One time after my dad died, my mom had major plumbing problems--since money was tight and I wasnt afraid to try anything, I got out in the front yard and helped dig up and lay an entire new sewer line. 7. When I was in high school I made extra money grafting plants for a local nursery. 8. When I was 16 I had to go to juvenile court and was given 6 months house arrest for something I didnt do.
