Amy asks: Hi, I have a bengal cat, and Im heading off to uni in September. Original plan was mum was going to keep her and look after her, however, she has a new job where she works away from home 3-5 days per week and stays away, therefore cannot look after a cat properly. My dad cant take her and my sister has a very boisterous dog that scares my cat. More than happy to pay for all of her needs - insurance, vets bills, jabs, food etc, but I need to find somewhere for her to live for 1-3 years. Preferably to a home without dogs and another bengal she can play with. She isnt 100% litter trained, but does go outside. Shes allergic to fleas too, so its a must to keep up with good flea treatment, or she can be a house cat as she prefers to be inside. She prefers to wee on hard floors, not carpet, if shes not going to use the litter tray - fosterer may have some different ideas about this. She will be 1 year in September. Shes a loving, cuddly cat who likes to talk to you and has huge character, Id like to be able to see her every now and again. Contracts will be in place and homes will be vetted l. Is there such thing as cat fostering? Where would I advertise? She currently resides in Peterborough.
