Amy came home yesterday with her end-of-year school report. The highlights of her year have been using her Tobii eye-gaze computer to develop her learning and communication, making progress with independent sitting and even a little supported standing, and taking part in an exciting art project with Albert, the fabulous art teacher. But I like best what her teacher says about her personality: Other children are drawn to Amy, and...its hard to take her anywhere within school without somebody stopping for a chat. She has been a joy to teach, and has a way of drawing people in with her chatter, smiles and sense of fun. She moves into Key Stage 2 in September, and will be in a new class with some bigger kids - and shes let me know shes very excited about that. (Will she make everyone listen to jazz there, I wonder? Apparently jazz has been the soundtrack to this year in Blue Class, and that is undoubtedly thanks to Amy!)
