Amy flies the last home stretch into the Tampa area traveling at an average ground speed for the day of around 90 MPH. We arrived right at the end of civil twilight. We covered just over 700 miles leaving at 9:30 eastern time (although we were actually in central time and left at 8:30) and taking a nice long lunch in Georgia and arriving home at 8:30 PM. Amy flew 3 of 4 legs and flew some really big bumps through the mountains and next to some storms. I believe this is the largest cross country we have done in one day. Wes Frey lead the way across the US. But once we were 20 miles out Amy took charge and put the pedal down and trimmed up at 5500 rpm and let the wing go as fast as it could with maximum continuous power. You see Wes following close Behind in the video.
