Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Ice Bucket Challenge (02/009/2014) First thing first, thank you Tran Minh Tri for nominating me to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. For people watching this video, fret not, for I will not be nominating anyone to carry on with this challenge. In one way or another, I believe that most of us have experienced being soaked in ice-cold water. The feeling of being drench in ice-cold water is terrible as freezing chill pierces through our skin, seeps through our flesh, numbs our nerves, and bite into our bones. Im sure some of us can feel our goosebumps standing or even a freezing chill down the back of our spine, just after hearing this or by the mere flashback. Having said that, there are many other diseases and illness besides ALS that are affecting the people closest to us and around us. For that purpose, I intend to do a blood donation at the Bloodbank@HSA at Dhoby Ghaut. Many people are suffering in pain, suffering in agony. Some of them choose to maintain silence and put up a strong front as they do not want to become a burden to their loved ones, to the people close to them. I hope that we can shower them with love and concern. I am not expecting the world to become a better place over the night, to become the ideal world that we dream or even visualize every night or every other night. However, every act of love, big or small or tiny, means a lot to the people in suffering. Through every tiny act, I believe that we can eventually make the world a better place, for you, and for me, and for everyone else around. #nusaikido
