Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a rapidly progressive, - TopicsExpress

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a rapidly progressive, neuromuscular disease. It attacks the motor neurons that transmit electrical impulses from the brain to the voluntary muscles in the body. When they fail to receive messages, the muscles lose strength, atrophy and die. Well, I didnt think I would ever do this! However creating awareness of this disease is so important! I have crossed life paths with one or two ALS sufferers whom are not with us anymore. I hereby nominate Dani Venter, Willa van der Merwe ( I said Barnard) and Lynette Barnard! I dare you. Mwa!
