An 83-year-old woman who died in a house fire in Doncaster last year was smoking cigarettes which didnt comply with current safety laws, an inquest heard this week. Reduced Ignition Propensity, or fire safe cigarettes, were an important piece of EU legislation brought in 3 years ago, but were worried that a huge number of cigarettes smoked in South Yorkshire are counterfeit so dont comply.
