An AMAZING study on meditation - Scientists have now documented that daily mindfulness meditation actually strengthens your gray matter in your brain among other benefits like improving health and disease risk by lowering stress levels. When is the last time you meditated? Even 10-15 minutes a day can have a tremendously positive impact on your health. A great way to start is to just sit or lay in a relaxed position, eyes closed. Put one hand on your belly and on on your chest. Take 10 deep breaths, breathing into your belly (you should feel your belly expand far more than your chest if youre doing it correctly) for a count of 4 seconds. Hold the breath for a count of 2 seconds, and FULLY exhale and empty your lungs over a count of 4 seconds. Hold for 2 and then repeat. This takes about 2 MINUTES You will be AMAZED at how different you feel after just 10 deep controlled breaths.
