An Aboriginal friend of mine told me that he ( traditional people ) , do not pray that their children will be safe. Instead , they say , today my children will be safe / ok , an affirmation that encourages independence , problem-solving and autonomy to make good decisions when away from the safety of tribe , (and likely to save a lot of useless worrying ) Perhaps Altjira represents humanity flying the nest , (having been taught well ,and initiated ) , and that we neednt always rely on the father.( or anyone else for that matter ) to help us We have everything we need , no ?.
