An American Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) was launched 2 days ago at Vandenberg Air Force Base in CA. Worry not as it was unarmed. The Air Force Global Strike Command conducted this operational test launch. Whats the objective of the Minuteman III launch you might ask? It is to verify the accuracy and reliability of the ICBM weapon system. Yes, the data collected ensures a safe, secure and effective nuclear deterrent. Folks from the 576th Flight Test Squadron at VAFB and the 91st Missile Wing at MAFB in ND teamed up for this effort.
