An American hero has died at age 89. Jeremiah Denton, an American POW at the infamous Hanoi Hilton in Vietnam, resisted some of the most intense torture ever known by American servicemen. He was kept in a black hole for nearly eight years. When he was returned home, he simply said, “We are honored to have had the opportunity to serve our country under difficult circumstances... God bless America. He then forgave his captors and got on with his life. Rest in peace, sir!
