**********************An Anniversary************** Today marks exactly 2 years since I opened the workshop doors. Monday Dec 1st 2012 was the day that I finally got to run my own workshop, something I’d been wanting to do for years but circumstances hadn’t allowed. It was a small beginning making use of what I had in terms of tools and premises. I had already collected a lot of tools so that wasn’t a problem but keeping costs to the very minimum was always essential at the start so my garage had to be adapted to become the workshop. It was never ideal (too small and cold) and was always planned as a temporary option as long as it all went well. The original plan to offer servicing and repairs of the highest level and not have the distraction of having to stock and then try to sell cycles has proven a good idea. It has meant I could invest in more and more tooling and concentrate on keeping as many people on the road as quickly as possible without interruption. Fortunately things have gone well, from about 15 regulars, the customer base is now well over 1000 and rising and they have all come through personal recommendations (there is no advertising budget). Thank you all very much for the “good words”. As I start year 3 in my new (larger and much warmer ) workshop I’m very much looking forward to the future and continuing to offer what I consider to be the best cycle service and repair provision. As always there are a few people to thank Deb Theodoulou, Carl Brown, Keith Porter, Ian Whiting and Steve Kilner along with everyone who has used the workshop facilities. Colin #thebikemagician
