An Announcement, A story, and an Invitation to Participate in Something Big. I’m VERY excited to announce my new endeavor, Full Life Academy. I’m looking for 10 people to take part in the first ever Full Life Academy course, beginning February 1. But before I get into the details I’m going to provide a little background about how this all came about. As many of you know I had a huge life changing realization about 3 years ago. I realized that despite having everything I always thought was going to make me happy. I wasn’t. My life was missing something really important. At the time, I wasn’t even able to put into words what it was I was missing, but somehow I knew that I had to find it. So I went on a crazy journey into personal growth and life enrichment. I read tons of books, signed up for a bunch of blogs, took a course called Optimal Living 101, did 10 days of silent meditation, workshops, online courses, a huge spiritual retreat to Bali, the list goes on. I went deep. I gained huge personal knowledge in the process and made some really important changes in my life. I was more self aware, purpose driven and happier than ever before. But despite all that, I still knew that something was missing. Then I stumbled upon this idea for what I now call the I Love You Project. The idea was that I would wear a shirt that said I love you, right across the chest, every day for thirty days, write about it every day, and share what I learned on Facebook. What I secretly thought would happen was that I would inspire people with my shirt and they would tell me how great I was. But that’s not even close to how it went down. Here’s what really happened. Very few people gave a shit about or even noticed my shirt but every day that I put it on I was forced to confront some new aspect about my relationship to love. I was face to face with all of the ways that I held love back, avoided expressing it, was uncomfortable talking about it, and all sorts of other love limitations that I never knew I had. Because I had committed to this this for 30 days I couldn’t just avoid it like I had all my life. Even worse, I had committed to sharing it all publicly. It turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Spending 30 days focused on one aspect of life that I struggled with, reflecting on it daily and sharing it with a supportive community turned out to be a formula for achieving real, deep, lasting change that was more effective than anything else I had come across. At the end of that 30 days I was changed for good in ways that make my life richer and fuller than I could have imagined. So this is it. This is what Full Life Academy is all about. Every month a group of dedicated people who are ready to start living their full lives will focus on and dive deep into ONE area of personal growth and life enrichment. We will commit to daily reflection, weekly group discussions, and persistent exploration. We will share our challenges and successes and we will learn from and inspire those in the community that we create. We will stop fooling ourselves into believing that quick solutions and how-to articles actually are viable and we will put in the work required to make real lasting change. But all that comes later. April 1st to be exact. What I need now are 10 people to take part in the first ever month long focus and exploration into Gratitude. Let’s see if there’s anything to this quote below. “Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.” Zig Ziglar If youre interested, heres a question for you. What will your life be like at the end of February if you and 10 other people spend the entire month filling your lives with gratitude, diving deep and creating your reality? If you want to find find out and you’re ready to commit to putting in the work, let’s talk.
