An Announcement from NorEasterNick I would first like to sincerely thank each and everyone of you for the kind, loving and touching support youve given over the past year. It was always my dream to be an on-air weatherman... since my early days on the morning announcements at Brigantine Middle School. I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to serve the community I grew up in and adore not once, but two times... the first being right out of High School in 2010. I have learned many life lessons, worked with a group of talented, caring and seasoned professionals and forged life long friendships. It is hard for me to let go, but I am confident we will return bigger, stronger and better than ever in the future. Working at NBC40 has given me the drive and determination to continue my career on broadcasting. Until we return, there will be a gap in news, sports and weather coverage and I have begun the first steps in creating what has really been a dream of mine for several years: The Village News Network. It is now closer than ever. I am in negotiations with local High Schools that offer TV/Media to band together and create a viable news product. It would be South Jerseys first community based news organization composed solely of serious minded High School juniors and seniors that are looking for a career in broadcasting. I have always felt as though I was put here to teach and help people and the solution is now clearer than ever before. This will not happen without YOUR help. I need to get the word out. Share this video, tell your friends, family, neighbors about this program. This is not a replacement for NBC40, we all know there will NEVER be such a thing, but rather an instrument to help teach kids, bring news to the table and eventually work hand in hand with the future of the station.
