A response not to the liking of this woman. How low can one sink at his old age? I am for full-fledged freedom of expression. As I have defended the right of meskerem.net in the past, I will defend the right of Alem Goitom to fill his wall-paper with whatever he wants. But he cant expect us to sit idle while he insults the intelligence of the reader, Eritreans and the international community. May the good Alem is not aware that 1. The Eritrean regime has time and again refused to allow Sheila Keetharuth to enter Eritrea and talk with the people about human rights violations in Eritrea. Probably (I know for certain) the regime has a lot to hide. Otherwise why should the regime block the entrance of this woman? Why block a visit from Amnesty International and other organisations who supported us during our armed struggle against the Ethiopian oppression? You welcomed them during the struggle but you block them after you ascend to power and start to oppress your own people. And the other suggestions are rediculous. Every Eritreans who has asked asylum in law abiding nations of the West is not going to be sent back to Eritrea. That is the rule than exception. Why is Alem Goitom then spreading this blatant propaganda? Presumably to frustrate the work of Sheila Keetharuth and to frighten the refugees: dont talk with this woman. This is an insult to the injury of the prisoners of conscience in Eritrea. It is an insult to their family. It is an insult to every standard of descency.
