An HCA facility- Director Respiratory Care Wesley Medical Center - Wichita, KS The Director provides leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the care provided for patients in the service line. Responsibilities include fiscal, human resource, risk management, operational functions, strategic planning and program development. Maintains 24-hour accountability. The Director performs delegated duties and functions within the philosophy and overall scope of responsibility. The Director displays positive support for the values and mission of Wesley Medical Center. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Consistently operates the Respiratory Therapy service lines within established fiscal guidelines Assumes accountability for identifying problems and issues, generating solutions, and anticipating effects of decision Leads, coaches, develops, and recognizes staff to maximize performance and growth Assesses, processes and generates ideas for improvement; supports interdisciplinary approach to process improvement while maintaining individual accountability Guides and coordinates the activities of managers and staff of the Respiratory Care Department Facilitates selection of staff, orientation, continued competency assessment and feedback Establishes and maintains positive rapport between department employees, physicians, and ancillary departments to ensure the continuance of a harmonious work environment Coordinates and integrates interdepartmental and intradepartmental services Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services Ensure compliance with all state and federal guidelines Guides and directs the development of short and long term goals and objectives within the department Develops and monitors operating budget to control costs and ensure maximum economy and efficiency Qualifications Required Registration, Licensure or Certification Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts Current registration through the National Board for Respiratory Care Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course, as specified in policy Current drivers license Required Education or Experience Bachelors degree Five years of progressive management experience Five years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist Preferred Education or Experience Masters degree Previous hospital experience Required Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively Knowledge of state and federal laws, TJC, and professional practice standards HCA Inc - 15 hours ago Wesley Medical Center
