An Independent Dawn Oh lovely dawnful morn even the traffic sounds a sweet clarion horn not unpleasant to the urban ear and ohh such saffron shades perhaps a woman of Pampore has sacrificed her painstaking harvest of kesar and broadcast it upon the optimistic sky and suddenly a thousand white winged birds of aspiration arrive to celebrate their freedom, fly. and before me a brave woods of greeen defy the urban landscape and celebrate natures morning song of flower fruit and plentitude and I a child of brave beautiful women and men, freedom fighters farmers soldiers breathe deep and exult in an island moment and celebrate the Independent Dawn
