It is said that the greatest manifestation of love is when you love others as you love yourself. One good example that demonstrates this law is by giving your all and being absolutely happy about it. The world’s poorest president from Uruguay popularly known as President José Mujica made a headline worldwide for his humble yet charitable lifestyle. By choice the kind hearted president live in his wife’s farm house instead of living in a lavish life just like his predecessors. The president’s lifestyle is remarkably different from the many politicians in the UK. His greatest and most valuable possession is his bashed looking light blue colored Volkswagen Beatle. According to him, “If you don’t have many possessions then you don’t need to work all your life like a slave to sustain them, and therefore you have more time for yourself.” He has been labeled as the world’s poorest President because of his simple lifestyle yet the world knows that the same poor leader is also a cheerful philanthropist. He decided to donate 90% of his monthly income equivalent to $12,000 to help charities and small time entrepreneurs. He once said, “I’m called ‘the poorest president’, but I don’t feel poor. Poor people are those who only work to try to keep an expensive lifestyle, and always want more and more.” People have different opinions about being poor. But majority tend to believe that poor people are those who have less than what we considered an average. Here’s the thing, chances are those we considered poor because they lack the material things that most of us have are much happier and contented.
