An OPEN LETTER TO all my BELOVED and cherished non-MORMON/ex-LDS - TopicsExpress

An OPEN LETTER TO all my BELOVED and cherished non-MORMON/ex-LDS friends/family on Facebook: I wanted to acknowledge the surge of LDS Conference posts on facebook and twitter. It may feel a little like everyone is chatting/posting about the Super Bowl and you arent watching (and may not care). Just wanted to share a bit of background about this experience. Twice a year (April & Oct) we get an amazing chance to slow down, stay home, wear pjs for two days - and listen to our church leaders. I love the tradition and calming days (even when my kids may argue). It allows me to take inventory of my life, regroup and reground for another 6 mths. I love the messages of Christ, family, faith, forgiveness and instruction I receive from the Spirit via the speakers. The last of these 5 sessions begins at 2 pm Utah time today. You can watch it with me and with all your other Mormon friends online lds.org - thanks for scrolling through my posts - not criticizing - loving me even if we do believe differently. If you are not LDS or you were, and you are my friend, you know how much I love you because you bring different ideas and light into my life. I honor you and our differences while I also celebrate my own beliefs. I respect you and appreciate the respect and love you show me no matter what we have in common or disagree on.
