An Open Letter to Shahbaz Sharif I have no idea what will - TopicsExpress

An Open Letter to Shahbaz Sharif I have no idea what will happen in the next few days or weeks, but certain events did take place and there should be consequences. The right precedents should be set for future generations and leaders. The Model Town Massacre that took place on the 17th of June this year was one of the worst if not the worst acts of oppression that I have witnessed in my life. 16 Human lives were lost, these lives were taken by a ‘legitimate’ armed institution who’s purpose is to is to protect and serve and to deliver criminals into the hands of the law. Their purpose or function is not to punish, or to use unnecessary force against the people they are meant to protect. Mr. Shabaz Sharif in an interview you said that you would resign if it were proven that you were either directly or indirectly responsible for these acts of oppression. Sir with utmost respect, no one but you is responsible for this incident. See when you took charge as the Chief Minister of Punjab, the lives of the people of Punjab did become your responsibility. Their safety was your responsibility and just on moral grounds you should have resigned. I’m not saying you were the only one who was responsible but sir you are the CHIEF Minister of Punjab, the person who has the responsibility to over look all ministries of Punjab. One of three things could have happened, 1. You weren’t aware of what’s going on in the capital of your province. If that is the case then sir you are not competent enough to be given such responsibilities 2. You knew what is going on and did not react. In that case sir you should be ashamed of yourself. 3. You were the ones who gave these orders. I would not even like to believe that this is a possibility. But what ever the case maybe it was your responsibility and you have failed to deliver, so I Humza Zafar Khan again with the utmost respect, demand that you resign from your post as the Chief Minister of Pakistan and face any criminal prosecution that may take place against you as an ordinary citizen who is not in the position to influence the working of our Criminal and Justice departments. Sincerely, Humza Zafar Khan Citizen of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
