This will be a positive way to help build momentum for a comprehensive means of addressing climate change. The Citizens Climate Lobby will be having their International Conference, June 22-24 in Washington, D.C. On June 24, over 600 CCL volunteers will be visiting in person with members of Congress and their staff to enroll their support for a tax on carbon (coal, oil and natural gas) that gives all the revenue back to the public. By calling your own local Representative (and Senator) on June 23, you will be adding your voice to the message that these people will be giving in their meetings on Capitol Hill the next day. As you know, there are thousands of paid lobbyists who talk to members of Congress to advocate on behalf of the fossil fuel industry.
