An Ozakee County, virtual school, tells one of its 9 year old (virtual) students to remove his avatar of a gun on a flag background. Their is no justification or logic on the schools part so Im not even going to discuss that but let me just say it is time to join the exodus to home schooling. I totally understand that most parents live in a two income household, but my point is that there IS severe brainwashing in public (or public controlled/influenced) schools so you must realize that with that 2nd income, comes the societal brainwashing of your child. This has been going on for generations. I even recognize snippets from my years in school.. it is just more overt now. You may expect this type of behavior in liberal districts so think you are safe... but this is Ozakee County, which is hardly liberal. If you still think youre untouched, let me ask you... What would happen if your child wrote an essay on the 2nd amendment? Or on the difference between a democracy and a democratic republic? How about on hunting?..What freedom and Liberty means to you? Would they be restricted??? Would it even be allowed??? Or are you accepting of these anti-liberty policies, if for no other reason than you dont think harm is being done by them and you dont even register any complaints? Do you even see the need to suppliment your childs education with books on our Founders, the Constitution. ..or give them your view of what this country means and what it stands for, and maybe even more importantly, what it stands against... making sure they have the knowledge and skills to recognize the subtle differences between right and wrong, good and evil? Do you assume that the schools will warn them or fully prepare them to recognize political motivations or are you so against speaking about politics that you have given the impression that your home, like the school, is not a safe place for that discussion? Do you see the danger in shutting that discussion down? Do you leave the learningof all aspects of life skills up to the schools and then turn your kids over to the world of electronics when they come home?? After all the problems we have seen with the department of education, Common Core, countless kids being reprimanded over their gun related choices, are you SURE thats the way to go?? The federal govt makes policies and programs very easy to administer and accept and hugely difficult to discontinue. .. like welfare... like have done with healthcare and any govt program that starts out our remains being subsidized. It is very, very difficult to wake up and make choices that will complicate your life but there is a right way and a wrong way to continue this American experiment of freedom and Liberty...and the biggest lie is that those difficult choices just arent worth it. Well, are they???
