An absolutely fantastic weekend with croesyceiliog canoe club at Cwm Hedd Lakes. We had great weather for the kayaking, open canoeing, hotdogging, stand up paddle boarding, rafting, swimming, fly fishing, coarse fishing, archery, bread making and bushcraft skills...... Phew!!! Lets not forget the awesome spitroast BBQ of chicken, pork, lamb, silverside beef, burgers, sausages, sweet corn, jacket potatoes all cooked for 74 people. Stuart White worked soo hard on the BBQ he didnt have time to take a picture of it !!! Big thank you to Gavin Clarke for all of his help with the BBQ too and to Ronnie Rogan and Anita Rogan for helping with the mammoth task as a 4 some in the BBQ area carving all the meat and to do the serving. Thanks to the Rogans aswel for inviting our club and for all the preparation, running of events and the cleaning up. It was a really proud moment for us to see so many of our club members helping out through the days events, but more so to see Ade Williams &co go off to Newport to help take the boats and equipment back, and Gavin,Chris Barbers and the Williams and white clans stay to the end to make sure everything was loaded up. And thanks to Mark Lonnkvist and Claire Williams for the babysitting, lets not forget Maxine Aldermans clan for the early wake up call on Saturday morning, thank god for hash browns!!! Nice to see Charlotte Ozzi Stevens and Mike Timmis there too. A top weekend!!!
