An accomodation update for Ayla DeRooys ferrets (of course everyone wants to know about this ...giggle....not)! Still, here is the new outside cage set up for Jasper and Ruby located on the little verandah Rick built outside Aylas room. (he changed window to glass door). The ferrets seem to love it and it is much more hygenic than the wooden hutch.* If you look about middle of the cage against the wall, we have a gate we can put up and down coming through from the inside sleeping box area. The new ferret rule is all toilet and food outside. They can also run freely up 9 metres of wall piping inside the room to the upstairs mezamine level hammock/warm spot and back again. We are actually planning to extend it by having another 8 metre pipe going across the palm area to a bare spot with a pipe and 3 x 2 m area where they can play in the grass. * the wooden two-storey hutch has gone to Ashlee DeRooy, Simon Rayner and Ella for their new baby rabbit Humphrey!! We are an odd family arent we :)
