An addendum to my post moments ago pertaining to the Democrat leadership and illegal immigration. The Democrat leadership, who so desperately want to paint anyone opposed to ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS as racist, have forgotten two very important points. First, segments of every portion of our legal population have spoken out against allowing illegals to remain or too be afforded further entry. Hispanic, black, European, and any number of other legal citizens of every creed and color have spoken out against this practice. They arent racists, they are realists. Secondly, this is a terrible slap in the face to the millions of immigrants who played by the rules, sacrificed so much, and became American citizens through perseverance and diligence. They EARNED their rights as citizens, and now the Democrat leadership would give away that which so many sacrificed so much to achieve. I know first hand of the sacrifices and effort involved, as I was married to a legal immigrant who waited patiently and worked so hard to achieve her dream of citizenship. I remember well her enormous sense of pride and achievement the day she took her oath of citizenship. Please remember the Democrat leaderships assessment of the intelligence of the American citizenry, and show them how terribly mistaken they are. Punish them severely at every opportunity!
