An addendum to the story of Old Betsy, my moms 49 Ford... We drank a lot of Ovaltine, and mom awarded me this patch. I was sitting in the back seat of OB and holding my Secret Squadron patch against the window, admiring it, when we hit a bump. I let go of the patch and it slid down into the space below the glass. OB was a coupe, not a sedan, and in any case my dad wasnt the guy whod take a car apart for any reason. My patch was eventually sold with the car, when my mom moved up to her next ride.
