An ag-gag bill to control the publication of covertly recorded video was defeated in the Legislative Council of the South Australian Parliament this week! Well done to all those organisations and individuals that worked hard to oppose the bill that - if passed - would have removed the transparency facilitated by the work of organisations such as Aussie Farms, exposing animal abuse in the industry e.g. the investigation of Big River Pork slaughterhouse (aussieabattoirs/slaughterhouses/big-river-pork).
