An alert motorist helped locate a missing elderly man this afternoon in Marion County. The Silver Alert was issued statewide this morning for him from Altha, Florida. FHP dispatch received a call from the motorist advising he observed a vehicle matching the Silver Alert on I-75. Troop I’s Sgt. Larry Zanders responded to the scene and confirmed the driver was the missing man. The family was contacted and has been reunited. Thank you to our Florida motorist for your alertness and helping reunite this man with his family.
