An amazing, inspiring book I just finished: ONE HUNDRED NAMES FOR LOVE, by Diane Ackermann. Its a true-life account of her husbands recovery progress from a massive stroke which he suffered at age 74 or 75. The sad prospect was this - Both Diane and her husband were highly-creative wordsmiths, both published authors, he a college professor of English. The stroke affected his language center. The only word he could say immediately after the stroke was mem, repeated frequently. Ill not reveal more about the story; you can research it. But I highly recommend it. Another book by Diane Ackermann is one Ive enjoyed, THE ZOOKEEPERS WIFE, another nonfiction account, this one of a woman who helped shelter a number of Jews during the 40s in - I believe - Warsaw, Poland. Read it!
