An ambulance drone, designed by graduate student Alec Momont at the Delft University of Technology, is supposed to provide a professional response for cardiac arrest victims within a single minute. The average 10 minutes it takes for regular ambulances to arrive at the scene is not nearly fast enough since once the heart stops beating, it only takes 4-6 for the brain to die. It is estimated that the drone will be able to increase the survival rate by 80%. It consists of a built-in defibrillator and can reach speeds up to 100 km/h. The emergency operator who took the call would be able to give proper instructions. Drones can be used for something good, after all. https://youtube/watch?v=y-rEI4bezWc#t=107
