An anecdote from Anne and Spook :) Walking down the pavement with Sir Spook. I knew road works were ahead. Anyhow Sir Spook takes a wee swerve, I follow thinking someone has left something lying on the pavement. Next thing I knew, my right foot and tapped something and I could hear this ploink ploink..... A voice from ankle level shouting out what the F**K and a couple of other guys laughing their heads off. Turns out, a man was down a man hole, which Sir Spook had taken me around, a bit close to the edge, as my right foot had cleared the hole the guy was coming out of the hole. I managed to kick him in the head and knock his hard hat off which had going bouncing down the pavement. Much to the amusement of his two work companions who were killing themselves laughing.
