An apology for something done wrong and a sincere easily understandable effort to remedy damages caused does not make you weak. It rights the wrong even if the crime is never forgotten. Ignoring the wrongdoing when the victim opens dialogue, invalidating the victims injury, talking them out of playing victim status, telling them they should be like you, or hurting them more is ultimate weakness. You are afraid to stand on the scales of justice for fear of breaking the table with the unbearable weight of your denial. The act of faith that makes your heart light as a feather is seeking those who you hurt and make amends, those things and possessions stolen by your father...return them because you know that he did it. Those foreign jewels worn by your mother, refuse to keep them. Youve never felt what it is to be light because you know what happened. Youve spent too much time standing in the light to block its gaze on another.
