An awesome testimony from one of our Pro Staff Members. A while back I was contacted by a Special Needs grade school teacher from a rural school in Ohio. She explained to me that there was a boy in her small class that she was struggling to reach, but recently she discovered that he loved to fish and religiously watches Outdoor Channel. His favorite fishing guy? Yep, you guessed it! She also explained that there were very few bright spots in these kids days and that it would mean the world if I could make an appearance... I knew I had to do this one! It was amazing what a few hats, autograph cards and minutes of my time meant to these boys! The wrapped Silverado Truck was a huge hit as well. Eventually, what started as an intimate meeting involved most of the school, faculty and photos for the County Newspaper (yeah thats still big there). I guess after this, I realized that its not always about the numbers or impressions, and we all should be proud of the positive content and values that we brings to television, and in this case a 9 year old with special needs!
